Lids
Chog is a hedgehog with a mohawk of quills, a piece of tape on his cheek, and zero interest in losing a ground ball. He showed up at a summer league with a borrowed D-pole and never left. Chog Lacrosse is his brand: tees and hats for the players who do the ugly work — the faceoff wins, the scoops in traffic, the saves that leave a mark.
Everything here is made to order by Valor Thread Co. Pick your color and size, and it gets printed or stitched for you — no closets full of leftover sizes, no pre-orders that never ship. Stay prickly.
Hedgehogs vs Goats
Lacrosse has had a goat problem for a while. Nothing against goats. We just have questions.
Where are you even going to put that stick, goat?
Hooves. Two of them, on the ends of your arms. A hedgehog has actual paws, which is the bare minimum for holding a shaft, cradling through a double and hitting the corner from way outside.
Ground balls: eat the grass or scoop through it?
A goat sees a ground ball and sees lunch. A hedgehog goes low, gets his body through, and comes out the other side with possession. Ground balls win games. Snacks do not.
Built-in armor vs. a plan to complain.
Take a check on the elbow and a hedgehog has about five thousand quills that already handled it. A goat has a plan to look at the ref. One of these is a defensive scheme.
The X: clamp it or ram it?
A goat lowers its head and charges, which is adorable and also a penalty. A hedgehog rolls up, wins the clamp, and is gone with the ball before the wing even arrives. Win the X.
Wanders off to stand on a shed.
Goats climb things. Great. Nobody asked for a defender who is on top of the equipment shed while a middie walks in. Chog is in the hole, stick up, where he was supposed to be.
Up since the 6 a.m. wall ball.
Hedgehogs are nocturnal, which means Chog did not wake up early for the wall — he simply never went to bed. Two hundred reps, off hand, before the goat has found its cleats.
Case closed. Stay prickly.
